Gianpiero Actis

Gianpiero Actis is an Italian artist who directs Immagine & Poesia, an international artistic literary movement founded in Torino, Italy, in 2007, under the Patronage of the late Aeronwy Thomas, daughter of Dylan Thomas.

It is open to artists, poets and music composers who want to experiment with moments of "Cross Fertilization". Hundreds of artists and poets from all over the world have already given their contributions to Immagine & Poesia and several works have been shown in exhibitions held in the U.S.A., Wales, France, Monte Carlo, Monaco and Italy.

The Movement has been invited to the special edition of the 54th Biennale di Venezia, held in Torino for the 150th Anniversary of Italian Unification. The movement has its Manifesto, translated into 30 languages, and some international websites/blogs, where it is possible to see how a poem can inspire an artist or an image can inspire a poet.
