Tad Richards is a distinguished American poet and writer with credits that include over twenty novels, screenplays and nonfiction books. He refers to himself as The Old Mole. He is the artistic director of Opus 40, a monumental environmental sculpture, in Saugerties, New York, where he lives. These paintings were drawn in Microsoft Paint, not normally considered a sophisticated paint-and-draw program. But resurrecting pointillist technique Richards uses the program to draw warm and generous art.
