Claire Nolen describes herself as a picture maker, painter, visual artist, poet and writer. She lives in Canada, having immigrated from central Europe in 2000. Her father, she tells us, was a passionate photographer, and classical photography has been a hobby since childhood. It should be observed that her style is careful, muted and uniquely her own. She writes, "I'm not seeing with my eyes, but with my heart and spirit. No camera can capture what I see. In order to make visible what I really perceive, I have to manipulate what my camera captures."This exhibit of 15 images includes seven images from the arists "Surreals" series and eight image from her "Female Secrets" series.
