This is Werner Hornung's second major exhibit on this site. Born in 1955 in Germany, he works as a freelance graphic artist in Paris where he is "still trying to make a living" out of his art. He has won Donnie awards at MOCA on three occasions. He writes, "You might call [my art] photomanipulation but in my opinion it's just another way of painting. My art should be like telling a story, to create adventures and feelings and it's not about the tools used to make it. It's about one's skill to manipulate composition, form, rhythm...During the last 4 years I spent all of my time creating images... One of the many things I learned during those years: the most important software is situated at the right side of your brain and called INSPIRATION."
