Mamta Baruah Herland is an Indian-born Norwegian artist. She studied visual arts at Sydney College of Arts, Australia, graphic design in Oslo, Norway, and fine art painting at Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton, England. She writes, "... my work is based on a growing collection of my photographs of landscape and objects... which I continue to record at newly discovered sites of inspiration. I scan these photographs, then I digitally manipulate and montage them to create composite emotive visual statements, which transcend the original photographs." Her technique include montage, multiple exposure and layers. She says, "As a body, my photomontages defy any single categorization, just as each of my images defies literal interpretation..."Mamta's dissertation on digital art
