Peter Hammond makes big pictures from little ones. Based in San Diego, CA, he started doing photography in 1989 and now uses digital cameras. All his images start as photographs, usually a lot of them, many of buildings and houses. He writes about his work, "...there is (among other things) mild to severe perspective correction (in Photoshop) on every picture. As you might see, I use a lot of straight vertical and horizontal lines..." He gives us mostly flat, frontal views with a shortened depth perspective and a boxy arrangement of color. Clouds are later layered in.
