The seven images included here are from Ryan Hartsell's "Consumption" series which, he tells us, he has been working on for the past few years.
They are created "from concept, to photography, to manipulation by computer." He writes, "The series deals with how the human id
is inherently selfish and the act of one's self indulgence is at the cost of others. With such a heavy topic, I wanted to give it a slight bit of humor
through social commentary and religious implications. So far the series has earned three international awards."
