These are from my series "Gardens & Galaxies". All are hand-colored, archival pigment prints produced on the computer and then hand-colored using mixed media.

They are actually digital photomontages that merge photos of celestial phenomena with computer-scanned images of living botanicals, plants, insects, etc. Both the final artworks and the process are visually complex, using various imaging systems to blend everything into a single, spatially suggestive, iconographic image.
