Many of the images in this series rely
on geometric Islamic art, often overlayed or collaged
with fractals or scraps of fractals, although some
have no fractal component at all. Some images are
almost wholly derived from the painted classics of
such artists as Paul Klee and are also without fractal themes
or motifs. Other images
are pure fractals that may have religious (six-pointed star)
significance. In all cases, I have substantially
relied upon a large collection of textures in an effort to give
depth and character to the art. The intent is
always to be dramatic and innovative.
