Steve Sherrell, 51 years old, teaches computer art at Joliet Junior College in Joliet, IL, where he is associate professor of art. He is married with two children. He holds both a BFA and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he trained in traditional art. His art now is sometimes hybrid--part computer and part traditional. His work has been shown regularly in the Chicago area for years, including an 18-month 2000-2001 exhibit at O’Hare Airport International Terminal Gallery. There is often a mischievous whimsy to his abstractions.
