Karin Kuhlmann is a 53 year old artist in Verl, Germany. She studied photography and graphic design and has been a commercial artist for many years, working for such firms as Bertelsmann and Nobilia, and as a freelancer. She discovered the computer as a personal artistic tool in 1994, and her digital work has won Corel and other awards. These five works included in this exhibit were composed and colored in Photoshop using KPT5's FraxFrame filter. They are drawn by algorithm and may be characterized, perhaps loosely, as fractals. Kuhlmann makes a high calling out of mathematical art.
